I TAKE NO CREDIT FOR THIS
special thanks to flam3fr3ak
*Confirmed to work with BenQ, Hitachi, and Samsung*

You will need to buy an PCMIA VIA card with VIA VT6421 Chipset to do this.

I recommend buying this one, since it is cheap (only $9.81 +tax/shipping ) *Make sure you have a PCMIA slot, not a express card slot before buying this* http://www.cross-mark.com/sata-serial-po...card-p-113.html

Here are the drivers you will need to install the VIA Card:

http://rapidshare.com/files/301161439/via_raid_v530c.zip

I do not recommend installing the files on the disc included, so install the drivers i have posted.

Now you will need to install Port I/O:

Port I/O Files:

http://rapidshare.com/files/287138939/manual_install.rar

Here's how to install Port I/O In Windows XP:

1. Open the Control Panel.

2. Open the "Add Hardware" wizard. If you are using Windows XP's default "Category View" for the Control Panel, this is done by clicking on "Printers and Other Hardware" and under "See Also" on the left, click "Add Hardware".

3. The wizard typically displays a screen explaining what it is used for. Click Next to continue.

4. The wizard may automatically scan for new hardware. The scanning will not detect anything related to PortIO32.

5. You may be asked "Have you already connected this hardware to your computer?" Regardless of whether you have installed any cards yet, click Yes.

6. You will be shown a list of the hardware already installed in your computer. Scroll all the way down and select "Add a new hardware device"

7. You will be asked whether Windows should search for the new hardware. Select "Install the hardware that I manually select from a list"

8. A list of hardware categories will be shown. Select "Show All Devices" (On some versions of Windows this may be called "Other")

9. Click the "Have Disk" button and point Windows to the "win\driver" directory of the PortIO32 distribution.

10. A list of drivers found in the directory you specified will be shown. Select the "PortIO32 Xbox 360 Device Driver" item and click Next.

11. Click Next again to "start installing your new hardware."

12. The files will be copied and installed. Click Finish to complete. You do not need to restart your computer.

Now all the hardware is installed!!

Now to flash the drive you can use any tut that you want to use.

Doesn't the newer versions of JF have portIO built in so you don't have to do a manual install?

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

Hi..

I just bought this card:
http://www.cross-mark.com/sata-serial-po...card-p-113.html

But when I´m connecting my Liteon 74850 Drive, I can´t find it in JungelFlasher...

Can enyone confirm, if this works for liteon Drives.. ??

I know that the card is correctly installed, Because Jungelflasher finds it. And I know that there is nothig wrong with the liteon drive sense i can read the key out from it on my other PC.

But I can´t figure out why my laptop can´t se it.

Eny Ideas ?

I have: WindowsXP SP2

Is there someone who has tested this cart?

Kind Regards

by doing this does this make your conson vulnerable to being banned (provided your connected to the internet). And also does it enable to put full games onto the xbox hard disk and play them from there. (without the disk having to be inserted) I just want this basically for those reasons becaise that i play resident evil and forza racing and what not....and yes you may be able to go online, the contest is the consol mostly itself. Any help would be apprieciated in learning how and what i have to do to acheive this.
thanks

Dear friends

Now, I have tested this card, but it doesn't work

I have:
WIN XP Professional SP3 32BIT

And I tried:
1. With (via) drivers for the card + Jungeflasher
2. With (via) drivers for the card + dosflasher

Problem: I can see the ports, but jungleflasher+dosflasher doesn't see any drive (I tested it with 2 drives and 1 harddisk)

--> In the Jungleflasher tutorial is written, that I shouldn't use VIA Drivers

3. I have uninstalled all via drivers
--> Jungleflasher says (when it is started): No VIA Ports found...so I can't use it.

Does anyone of you have this card on a notebook with a working jungleflasher (or worstcase: doesflasher)? (and flashed a xbox360 with this card?

If yes, please post, how do you do it?
-->What have you installed etc.
Or does anyone else have some ideas?

Thank you for help
Kind Regards from Switzerland :)

ok I bought this Chinese card to and cant get JF to see any drive. I even tried a 3.5 SATA hard drive and it didnt work so I'm wondering if its my Gateway MX6956 laptop thats causing the issue.
Maybe the VIA VT6421 chipset doesn't like my Gateway not sure!!

Does anyone know of a laptop that works using the VIA VT6421 PCMCIA SATA card ?

Dear friend, I have the same problem.
It couldn't see any drive or harddisk.

I tested it with dosflash, but it's the same problem.

Kind Regards

I've been trying with XP for like a week ------

I just got the card to work with a $5000.00 laptop

I think its the chipset on the motherboard it doesnt like I have tried 4 prveious laptops and it didn't work till this one.
Well I got it to see a 3.5" Sata Hardrive that is I didn't bring a 360 dvd to work with me to try it.
Guess I'll keep trying till I find a cheaper laptop that it works on !
Does anyone know of a more affordable laptop to buy that these Chinese SATA PCMCIA adapters work on?
