You need a JTAG(ed) xbox to run games from a usb hard drive. The problem with this is that Microsoft fixed the homebrew expoit in the August '09 dashboard update. So if you have connected to xbox live or updated your xbox since then you cannot JTAG your xbox. If you do have a compatible update then you will have to read up a lot on the homebrew tutorials as the JTAG hack is extremely difficult. A google search for "xbox 360 JTAG hack tutorial" should give you some decent info (I'm posting this from my wii so I cannot post links).

Homebrew requires a hardware modification to your 360. And the flashing required doesn't involve your disc drive.

LOL, not at all. I just had an operation on my foot (it's not serious) so I can't sit at my desk. The wii actually has a good browser.

@spikexor

Once you have Jtagged your box, you can just copy the XBLA folder to /Content/0000000000000000 on your Hard drive. Im not sure if /Content/0000000000000000 on your USB drive will work, ill give it a try tonight and let you know.

Did it work? :P Kinda interested in the result :P

Edit: Eh nevermind. Tried and it worked. Just unpack with wxPirs and place the game folder inside a "games" folder on the root of usb stick.

usb:\games\yadayada
