I have Jungleflasher and the ixtreme hitachi firmware, but I am having trouble sorting it all out. I do have a sata cable that connects from my mother board to my 360 drive. Do I use the actual xbox 360 to run the drive while im flashing? I just need some steps to guide me in the right direction. Thanks for your time. I have been having a hard time finding a good tutorial, so I decided to post this.

Thanks for the reply. The guide was really helpfull. Do you know where I could purchase a connectivity kit? I would rather buy one at a store, but if they are only sold online then I will do that. Thanks again.

You dont really need one, just use the xbox to power your drive.

wow i never thought about that. So do i just connect the drive with sata cable to pc and then power the xbox 360 on? Will my pc quicly recognize the drive or do I have to do something in order for my pc to recognize the drive? I am running windows 7. Also, I lost my ixtreme firmware for the hitachi-LG drive. Do you know where i can find the firmware for all 360 drives? Thanks again.

The firmware is available on XBINS, there is a tutorial on here to show you how to use it.
Basically, just follow the instrcutions on the jungleflasher PDF I sent you and let us know if you have any questions.

I have norton internet security and it wont let me run xbins. It wont even allow me to download it. I disabled the security and xbins started to run but then i enabled the security and it deleted xbins from my pc. Do you know how I can fix this? How can I run xbins while still being protected?

Yeah, dont use Norton
I work in a tech support enviroment and Norton is a pain in the ass, get rid and use a free solution. It will cause you less hassle.

Thanks guys. When I open jungleflasher this comes up, "No comports were found during enumeration!" What does this mean? I click ok and the program continues to work fine.

Also, in page 44 from the pdf file you posted, after setting the drive to Mode B, it says either pre-78, 78, and 79. Whats this about? I am confused of which number my drive is. I am going down the flowchart. Thanks.

Linux is the way to go. No need for any anti-virus software with Linux because no one simply makes viruses for it.

This is for lite on drives, you can ignore this!

This is the firmware revision of your Hitachi drive. You can find out your by looking at the top of your drive as per the pic below.

Hope this helps
