Hey all!

I am new to the forums, forgive me if I'm in the wrong section. I am new to backing up my games, started about 3 days ago. I must be doing something wrong because every disk I have burned (16 disks) either says "Please put disc in an xbox 360 system" (which it is) Or stands at an xbox 360 logo (If I push play it says "Trying to read media"). I just bought a pioneer DVR-XD09 Portable DVD burner perfectly capable of burning DVD+R DL DVDs. My laptop came with a TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L632N Burner. I've used both. I have also tried both Memorex and Verbatim DVD+R DL DVDs. I use imgburn, Set the layer break in the correct spot and with the laptop's Burner set it to dvd-rom (Pioneer does so automatically/has no option if I am correct) And checked each file with abgx360 (I have tried 5 separate games mostly seperate waves) Am I missing anything? At the risk of sounding completely stupid is it necessary to flash your 360? And if so how do I do it? Thanks in advance for the time and effort to help a fellow gamer trying to save his damaged games disks!

Yes, you have to flash your xbox 360's dvd drive in order to read those backup discs. There are tutorials on here if you search.
