Hi all...juz bought the arcade version..wonder if pro out there can give more advice on how to flash/mod this little dude...Sorry if sound so stiuuup...

Hi there just want to say it will probably be cheaper and easier for you to get it done by a professional modder as the equipment to do it will be about 110 dollars. Also seeing as how you bought it recently it probably has a liteon drive which flashing isn't really a noob friendly job. if you want to it yourself thiugh there are plenty of threads already on this site telling you how to do it or just google it.

I dunno about $110 it only took me about $20. $8 for the torx tools and $13 for the via vt6421 card. After you get the torx tools the t5 can be used to hit the tabs that hold the gray pieces on the side as well as the tabs in the back that hold the two shell halves together. Once it's open just look at the label on the drive to figure out which one you have and follow the appropriate tutorial (using the latest version of jungle flasher for the most noob-friendly method).

Still, I think that it would be easier to pay around $30 just to get it done professionaly and not have a risk of bricking your drive and for only 1 console it is not worth it. Just get it done professionaly and save yourself the work and risk for the extra 10 bucks. Although if you want to do over 3 I think it would be worth it.

It isn't worth paying a pro if you are the person who is going to complain when you get banned for a modded xbox, its far cheaper to just do it yourself and its a good learning experience. If its a new arcade you will probably need to order the xecuter LT switch to save yourself the headache of cutting and soldering to your drive. But before you order that find out what drive you have. Open your xbox and look at the drive label to find that out. As far as the flashing and all that goes. www.google.com

Do it yourself, then when you need to upgrade the firmware you know what your doing. As stated, it will cost you around $20, or you can pay $30 a time for someone to do it for you.
