You are the best & latest firmware for your drive ATM.

Firstly, what media are you using? Verbatims are recommended. If this deosnt help, your problem will be due to the strength of your laser, you will need to do the "Pot Calibration" trick. Search on here for details on how to do this.

Not risky if you do it properly with a multimeter. Dont go above the recommended values and you should be OK.

Details Here

ok, I will have to find a multimeter. Is this at all possible with out one, like a try and test thing until it works. I know u dont move it much in the clockwise position. Thanks for the help man. I have been trying to get this flashed forever. First my motherboard wouldnt work with it so I did the two wire trick and got mode B then I flashed it and now it will not read the burnt games. I always had a problem playing games anyway, it sucks. If I was to get another 360 what drive would be best?

Thats what I did on my first time, so it is do-able (< is that even a word??!?), just make sure you only move it a fraction at a time.

Bear in mind, if you do turn it too far or POT Calibration is not your problem you could make things worse.

BTW it did work for me twice when I did not have a multimeter with the correct resistance settings.

Ok, that sounds good, wish flashing the drive was alot easier like with the original xbox and the wii. except the wii has problems with ceritain games and loaders and stuff. If I can get everything to work I want to make a tuturial that goes through all of this stuff and have it avaliable to download.

Good luck, the reason a tutorial has not been written for the Hitachi & Jungle flash is due to all the differnt revisions and the always seems to be a different problem everytime.

Well I tried to do the POT and it didnt work, It will not read anything now. I have tried to set it back but nothing. IDK what i did wrong. I found a multimeter but i couldnt figure it out. It was a FLUKE 115 so that didnt help. I think I might buy a Benq since I hear they are rlly good lets just hope I can spoof it. Is there anyway to fix what i have done?

You may have put the resistance on the POT too low, so could of burned out your laser.

re BenQ drive, That will do the job nicely.
