Ok so I recovered my gamertag on my friends xbox to play on live. Then got home, tried to connect to xbox live and got banned. So now I cant access any of my saved games anymore because I cant recover my gamertag.

Is there a way to recover my gamertag from my friends xbox and put it on my banned xbox so I can play saved games again?? Maby using a data cable or something??

Remember this is not transferring my gamertag to a new un-modded xbox but the opposite.

I thought that was only if you want to have all your achievements and saves on a un-banned console? I just want to be able to play my saved games on my banned console.

That guide also shows you how to remove your tag from the HDD and put it back on. if you just ignore all the bits in between about removing the flags and rehashing it, you'll have your answer.

If you want an easier way to transfer it, just buy a memory unit... :-D

I think I have one somwhere. But if I didnt would I NEED Xplorer 360 to do it with a cable?

You can buy a cheap 52mb card on ebay. Just use that to transfer your profile back over. Then use the guide whenever you want to transfer it back over to your unbanned console to update your achievements on live. Its s lot of hassle though for every time you want to update your gamerscore online. You could sell your modded console and flash your unbanned console with LT.

yep
a memory card is way easier
but i recommend a 256mb one so that you can download all the updates too and save them in the mc, so when playing on another xbox you dont get prompt to download them all the time
