4.0u Wii cannot install HBC

Had HBC installed, along with cioscorp and a few other .wads but uninstalled HBC because it was upside down. When I tried to reinstall I got an error that says HBC cannot be installed because there are no known vulnerable IOS on this system. Something along those lines.

Should I update to 4.2u and go from there or is there anything I can do on 4.0u to recover my already installed progs?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Use bannerbomb to run DOP-IOS and install a clean IOS34 (do not sig hash patch).

Then run the latest hackmii installer to install the latest HBC version.
