Though certain older games wouldn't need ssv2 right? When was it introduced in games? So with abgx, SplitVid can just be added as an option to a backup? Thanks.

SSv2 is just a precaution for the future. Yes, SplitVid can be corrected with ABGX. You would have to copy the game back to an ISO, fix with ABGX, and re-burn.

So with this new LT firmware, is it still possible to rip games from the xbox drive or do i need to keep 1.6 for that? Anyone know?

no LT does not have 0800 mode. The *safest* method would be to have a standalone for ripping.

well the xbox can see any time the system is powered on without the sata cable plugged in so ck3 is safer. The probe however is only needed for the 74xxx liteon drives

I had my xbox 360 flashed last week by this bloke and he said he was using the most up to date version of iXtreme (1.61??) but now the new ixtreme is out do i need to have my xbox flashed again? I think i have a phillips liteon drive..
If i dont update the firmware is the chances of me being banned drasticly higher?

Yes the chances are high you'll get banned, if you have been online already you might have already been flagged for a ban!

Sorry i my questions look dumb, n also for my english as its not well.
1. whats "0800" exactly?
2. im banned, can i do something? (like changing my motherboard?)
3. as i recognized, the only necessary thing i should check would be that the game has to be SplitVid-ed n Stealth patched, is it completely correct, anything that i didnt mention?
4. when i got banned, which parts of my xbox does really affected, i wanna know this cuz wanna leave no trace after changing MB.
5. when i change my MB, i suppose if i use the old XBL Account ("Chakmeshma") to login, MS would ban me again, at least gotta be suspicious; its reality or im just dreaming?

0800 is a function of the firmware 1.6x that enables you to rip games to your PC with all the SS files.
You can change the MB, thats the bit thats banned but you will need the KEY from the MB for flashing the drive you put on it.
Your XBlive account is fine to go on live with its not affected by the ban.

If you are talking about "what can I do to get back online", you would need to get a new XBOX 360 (or motherboard).

If you are going online with a console with iX LT, you will need to make sure your game is SplitVid. It is recommended you have SSv2 (supports more timing samples). Some will not say it is not needed right now, but why not go ahead and do it for future precaution...

If you are completely changing out everything, you won't have to worry about everything. Rather than going through the process of obtaining a new motherboard, just buy a new 360.

Again, if you change out EVERYTHING (Mobo, drive, etc), you are using a different serial.

I'd stay offline for now and get LT ASAP! try take it to the guy that done it and see if he will flash LT cheeper or free, not like it costs him any! Na no way of doing it with laptop sorry mate.

just got in touch with the guy who modded my 360, an he says LT is a completely different mod and it will work on any drive can someone please clarify this for me as he usually updates fw for free but wants paying now.

Not flashed LT myself but as far as im aware its just normal flashing procedure with the new version of JF!?!

well for one, it doesnt work with all drives, only lite-ons right now. and its the same freaking process. just download the firmware from leerages thread, put it on a USB stick, and take it with you to ensure you get the 'official' release and not the 'unofficial POS' hacked release. also, he will have to use JF 1.70b but guess what...thats free as well. lol. you could even DL it for him and give it to him to make sure he does it as he should.

i would just do it yourself. you already have (or should have) your dummy.bin, inquiry.bin and everything else you need. so all you have to do is hook the drive up to your PC (laptop) load JF load in your dummy.bin as source, LT as destination, spoof to source, erase, write, done.
