Do I still need to check with abgx if I have ripped physical copies with a kreon drive?

Will they be splitvid and ssv2 by default?

Yes, always check your rips with ABGX anyway. If you are using a Kreon drive, you need to know it doesnt capture the SS angle correctly which could get you banned.

You split vid should be there but it wont pickup your SS version.

@TheUnicef

At this point you are better off buying a new 360 than buying a new motherboard. Because if you bought a new motherboard, it would also come with a new DVD drive.

Hey guys I have a scenario which I haven't found a solid answer about yet.

Basically I flashed a Lite-On (v1) with iXtreme 1.6 about 3 months ago and have kept it offline since. It has played about 4 or 5 backup games (all properly stealthed and verified), and has had no other modifications or updates. So just to be clear, it has not connected to LIVE with iX or any other FW than the original.

My question is, is there any chance at all that it's going to be safe to use on LIVE if I flash LT and only play the new standard of formatted disc with proper SplitVid etc.? Or if I reflash with the original firmware.

If the console has stayed offline, it should be fine. I had a offline console to play modded ISOs on and such and just recently went online with it. It hadn't been online since May 2009 and I went back online with it November 2009.

Make sure you flash stock firmware back to the drive and then apply all the updates from Xbox Live. Then go back and flash iX LT to the drive.

It is recommended that your games you play online have SSv2 and it is a requirement to have SplitVid.

What if you Flash to LT (since its indistinguishable from stock firmware) and then apply the xbox live updates, is there still a risk of getting banned.

There is always a risk of getting banned. Personally, You are going out of your way 15 minutes tops if you flash to stock, get updates, and then flash back iX LT. But ultimately, it is up to.

Can anyone else confirm this statement as correct and true?? This is the first time I have heard of this....i'm not sure when it was said either.

This would totally support why I was banned back in September after 2 weeks of having a modded 360.

I ripped all my games from legit retail copies and were done with a kreon 1.00 drive.

The only "new" game at the tiem I played online was NHL10 so if its correct, that I can fully understand the kreon issue.

as for the past few months I have known of the issue but no one has been able to 100% say if it was actually true or not.

I have a benQ ready for dedicated ripping and my kreon is just being used as a 2nd dvd rom in my PC for if I ever want to "copty and burn" at the same time or copy more than 1 thing at a time.

Actually the guy whos doing it for me is charging me $30 to flash to stock update and then flash to LT. If i just flash to LT and then update myself its $10. Personally is saving $20 worth it? I thought going back to stock firmware changed nothing and the ability to still be banned was present even if you go back to stock.

LoL, all he is doing is trying to make MORE money off of you. It would seriously take him 5 more minutes to flash stock real quick, update your 360 via Live, and then flash LT. Tell him to quit trying to SCAM you.

If your 360 hasn't been on Live, then you don't have anything to worry about. The reason I based my "suggestion" to flash to stock and then Live is:

A) Read the release notes of iX LT:

###### WARNING ######

Warning! Ensure all disc images are checked with abgx as LT assumes all stealth/ss/pfi/dmi is correct. Disc images must also be splitvid and preferred SS v2

Warning! Lt will not save you from being banned if console is already flagged by using a previous firmware or non-stealth discs

It is also advisable to apply all system updates before flashing with LT. All future console system updates (not game updates) must be applied with caution.

###### WARNING ######

B) Check out the testing done by Team Xecuter. They had 4 360s, 2 had stock firmware and 2 had iX (1.6 or 1.61) flashed to the drive. They updated all at the same time. After the update the 2 that had stock were flashed to the latest iX (1.6 or 1.61, latest at the time) and are still online. The 2 that updated with iX on the drive, are now banned.

So the two boxes that were running LT got banned? Or was it an older version of iX?

That's not good news if it's LT . . .

No no no! Sorry the reason I didn't specify was because I couldn't remember if it was either 1.6 or 1.61. Either way, it was a older version of iX! I'll edit my post. LoL

Hi all, quick question, to flash a previously un-flashed lite-on drive(93450c), do i still need to solder or can this be avoided now.
thanks

You still need to solder. Someone who is handy with a solder iron will do it for you no problem for cheap. If you can't find someone to solder it and you don't care about being banned, you could sell the drive you have on ebay and buy an earlier liteon. You could then spoof it to play with your 360 but this will get you banned indefinitely.

I guess that would have been done in the 'Testing' phase of development.

Stupid question, probably been asked a 100 times and sorry for making this 101.

My Console is modded but I've been offline since a week in to wave (so beginning of November). I want to update to LT but I'm worried if I've already been flagged and M$ is waiting to ban me as soon as i get on LT or not.

I went to the Xbox site created a repair request for RROD it went well and I wasn't denied. Does this mean that i have not been flagged?

My Apologies for going off topic.

if the repair request went through then you're not flagged for ban *yet*. It's possible you may still be flagged for a later ban wave.

xval is good too but lol yes going on live will definitely tell you if you're banned or not =P

If you can't create a request for repair (error code 54420), M$ has you set for a ban. One of my friends had this same issue. He couldn't create a repair so he called up M$. They told him he can't request a repair because his 360 violated Terms of Service.

XVal is console side and it can say you are good. You could still be set for a ban server side!

do you mean xbox 1 games that are already supported by the 360 on the campatibility list or xbox 1 games that arent supported by MS on that list?

If you send me questions on Live about modding or anything related i will block you. Dont be an idiot.

yeh compatible games... its a copy of GTA: VC which was made compatible with xbox 360. on the torrent comments several people confirm it works on theirs but i suspect they were using ixtreme 1.5ish. i tried to run the ISO through abgx but it isnt found. when i load it in mulleter the "ixtreme compatible" box isn't checked and it wont let me check it.

i have tried it in my ixtreme 1.61 and it will not load. the only thing i could think of to try is the activate.iso but from what i've read that doesnt make xbox 1 games any more compatible... i guess i could try it though it wouldnt hurt anything.

i am just wondering if LT will make this process any easier??
