I hope so, otherwise we might have to have a database for ss bin files in order to manually do it.

The abgx360 website has a list of verified games.
http://abgx360.net/verified.php
On the right of the list there is a liitle number beside each game. If you click on the number, it brings up valid SS/DMI combinations (SSV1 and SSV2). These can be downloaded. So, correct me if I'm wrong here, but does this mean if I have a game showing SSV1, I can:
1. run it through abgx360 to get exact region
2. download applicable SSV2 SS and DMI files from abgx site
3. patch these files to the game using xbox backup creator
...and this should now be a game safe for xbox live??
Sounds simple, but I'm just wondering if I'm missing anything obvious??

Sounds like you understand it correctly, based on the tutorials people have been putting together. Edit: Just because you didn't mention it, I noticed you didn't include the waves. It's important to note you don't have to change the angles on wave 1 and 2 games. They can stay SSv1 safely.
The question I can't get a direct answer on is, are things only unsafe if you're currently connected to live, or is it unsafe at any time?

Is that confirmed? How do you know that?

What does it mean when you have 2 verified SS/DMI combos found on abgx360 site. Which one do you use?

It's been confirmed by C4 himself.

EASY WAY TO GET ALL YOUR GAMES SSv2!!
I had to make an account on here just to share this with you all.
I got the idea from dcstewart.
Going to abgx website for the SS.bin for each game is a good idea. But no need to hunt around for every game.
Just download any SS.bin. I cant remember what bin I downloaded so we will just call it the SS.bin for HALO.(short name)
Anyway heres what you do. DO NOT TOSS OUT YOUR KREAON DRIVE! It is still good.
I made a back up of Mass Effect 2 on my Kreon, I ran it through ABGX and it came up as SSv1 of course. Bad right. So I used schtrom360 and went into TOOLS and injected the HALO SS.bin into Mass Effect 2 iso. I ran it through ABGX and it got a Ton of red obviously. But now run it through ABGX a 2nd time. and TA DA!!
Stealth Check Passed
Split Vid good
and...... SSv2 (trusted)
Now repeat. Copy and paste that HALO SS.bin into every game folder you have on your HardDrive.
Simply Open Schtrom360 and click inject and select that HALO SS.bin for every game.
Ive injected it into Mass Effect 2, Forza 3, and Army of Two 40th Day.
All of those games showed SSv1 before. But now after I injected the wrong SS.bin and ran ABGX twice on it (once to get the error and pull the right SSbin off there website and twice to make sure everything is green and good to go), they all show SSv2 (trusted) and all Greens.
I assume this works. I assume because the 3 things that matter are checked out on ABGX, All CRC layers are Green (dmi, pfi, ss, xex, ect), Split Vid showing at end, and SSv2 (trusted) under the "Checking SS"
What else do we need for a perfect copy?
If im wrong about this method please let me know, because im about to reburn my whole game collection this way.
But if im right. Hope this helps you all.

I've read a couple people saying that they were doing this and having it work. I just wish that ABGX would restrict ssv1 from ever being uploaded, and even have an option to automatically replace your ssv1 with an ssv2 if it is on file. I'm sure that's exactly what they are working on right now though..

oh nice. So i guess its not a bad idea after all. I just added Dante's Inferno and BioShock2 to the list of 3 games i posted yesterday. I was holding off doing abunch of games at once till I saw a reply. But if other people are doing it as well I guess I might as well start working on my collection again.
Thanks for the heads up on telling me other people are doing it this way too. But i do agree, it would be nice if it was a option in abgx

Not sure which is easier, but this is what ive been doing.
Here is a guide on manually patching ssv1 to ssv2 in 12 simple steps
1:Go to _http://abgx360.net/verified.php, use the blue number on the right
hand side of your game to obtain an SS and DMI combination (still must match the XEX of your game)
2:Load ABGX360, Go to the "Manually Patch or Extract Files" tab,
3:Tick "Patch even if stealth passes
4:Tick the Patch SS, & Patch DMI, then browse for the files you just downloaded.
5:Go to the options tab and UN-tick "Verify if stealth passes
6:Click "LAUNCH", The files should be patched and will say "patched successfully" for each one.
7:FINALLY, load the ABGX360 default settings again, (reselect the game iso if needed)
8:Misc tab, make sure "Add if it doesnt exist or isnt valid" is selected for Splitvid
9:Options tab, make sure "Verify if stealth passes" is checked
10:UN-tick any boxes still ticked under "Manually Patch or Extract Files"
11:(the above should really all be enabled as default settings if they are not already. If you had to
change to any of them, hold CTRL then press S to save your settings and choose "Default"
12:Click "LAUNCH", If the game now shows SSv2, ALL CRC's Match, and you get Verification Successful
at the end of the test, AND it says SPLITVID VALID (or added), YOU NOW HAVE SSv2 and SPLITVID, YOUR
GAME MATCHES OUR RETAIL RIP, so you are good to go.
Thanks to NADS for guide.

found the answer straight from the awesome guys at abgx.
You can use any of the SSV2 combination for your game as long as the XEX matches. Generally speaking if you can, pick the combination that matches your DMI CRC.
