I have been flashing 360's for some time now and have always enjoyed this forum but have never actually became a memeber. I have flashed each type of drive before but for some reason i went to flash a lite-on 7xxx series and after erasing the drive and beginning the writing process, my computer froze. So i have a bricked drive. i have uninstalled the raid drivers and am using a 6421 chipset. although i know the drive cannot be recovered i was wondering if there was anyway to prevent this freeze in the future. Thanks!

Lite-ons & benQ drives cannot be bricked, so you should be able to recover it. THIS guide should give you some assistance.

so im trying to flash my blank drive and it appears that my pc will not boot from the usb drive. is there anything that i can do about that? i have installed all of the necessary components onto a usb drive but is it possible to boot from a cd in place of the usb? i have tried to look for the information but i havent had any leeway. thanks in advance :)

when ur computer boots up either choose which drive to boot from...usually f8..or go into the bios and sleect to boot from cd drive.

i was looking to boot dosflash from possibly a cd since you cant find computer hardware from a dos run during xp. i tried running a cd that booted to ms-dos but when i did that i could not recognize any drive on my computer even though i still had the usb drive inserted and knew the letter of the drive. thanks
