liteon flashing problem

Ok, so I am having problems flashing my liteon 73. I go to flash it, and as soon as I turn it on, my computer freezes. Yes, I have portio installed.
Any way to do this from dos or something?
It froze after sending the chip erase command :/

I believe that's caused by not removing the VIA card drivers. How to remove them is in the Jungle Flasher tutorials.

no. I know that isn't why. I have portio installed correctly and all via ports removed.
I think its because the chip got erased and my system froze :/ .
I know these are hard to brick but idk what I did

Awesome, that worked great.
Now.... My OFW is for liteon 93. That drive broke. The liteon I have now is a 73.
So, can I just spoof my key and call it good or what? It says spoofing not supported or whatever, but I think it would work...?

lol well yeah. I guess my question is, is there a way to hex edit the barcode in place?
If not, is the barcode important? I spoofed everything but the barcode and it works fine on my 360. I'm just wondering about it's live capabilities.

I found a solution, straight from xbox-scene:

As I recall, the Lite-on drive accepts all 4 firmware versions... you don't need to spoof the drive, just use the 9x firmware on the 7x drive and all is good. Do a liteon-erase then write to the drive.
