So SSv1 is ok if ripped from 0800. How can we tell which drive is used from abgx?

Edit: I see now you can get the info if you enable High Verbosity. But I cannot seem to get drive info for games that are not in database yet. Is there any way around that?
Just a heads up, I checked one of the games I ripped myself and put the setting on high verbosity only to find out that the drive it listed was incorrect. I checked my very own CODMW2 rip which I ripped with a 360 BenQ drive and it said I ripped it with a SH-D162D. Unless I'm looking in the wrong area. I'm looking at the bottom where it says "DriveName="

We need a massive ABGX update now
seems LT wont be worth it UNLESS u back up your own games and grabign stuff off pirate releases are pretty much HIGHER chance of getting banned more then ever.
I agree.

I have 2 interesting questions.
1) I have operation flashpoint SSv2 and the drive name is unknown but in the notes it says: "kreon rip..."...?
2) I have borderlands and it says SSv1 BUT when I saw the drive, it was a TS-H943A 0800...)

HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE?!?!?! (BTW: all is verified...very odd)

This whole SSv1/2 is driving everyone nuts!!! LOL
Yeah this is driving me crazy also, for now im just playing copies off line (on my baned box) and playing legit games online, luckily ME2 is out so its occupying my time. I know alot of my backups will need to be redone also, but its part of the game I guess, I know alot of my CHEAP @$$ friends will cry more, but then again goes with the territory.
too true my friend.

I hate to preach on my first post, but are the 6 quotes necessary just to agree with his post? It really makes an important thread hard to follow :(

Been running LT since it came out, so far only playing Wave 1 & 2 games atm, until I get a subscription to Gamefly/Blockbuster. So far only 1 out of 10 of my scene rips that I've checked have SSv2. Borderlands (RRoD release).

To those ripping their own games (or will be soon): How can we help ABGX rebuild their database?

Can you upload the SS bin of Borderlands? I have SSV1 (kreon) but I want to patch it for SSv2

I think the best thing we can do (For now) is simply creating a site and upload the SS bin files to the site for those to DL it with simple instructions on how to use abgx...just thinking outloud.

IM barely trying to figure out hwo to hell to connect my 0800 drive to my pc, so im way behind you right now as far as backing up legit games.

I barely installed a sata/raid controller I got from VGC repairs, so now im confussed how to have the drive shown on my pc, if anyone can point out hook it up.

As for helping ABGX, they would only need 5 or so legit games to compare imo, and youll obviously see it sssv1 or 2.

I just flashed my xbox 360 drive with 0800 firmware and ripped the game i needed to rip. I ran the game through abgx once, the ss version said it was 2<trusted> and it failed verification. I ran the game through abgx again and instead of the ss version saying 2 <trusted> it said 1. what can cause this and is there any way to fix it? the game i ripped was Dragon Age Origins.
Any help will do as im tryin to get my games ready and stealthed before the LT firmware for the BenQ drive is released.

Hi, I'm pretty sure abgx360 already has a database of SSV2 files. Its actually very easy to download and patch. Here's a quick tutorial:

How to Manually patch SSv2 files:
#

#
- Go to www.abgx360.net/verified.php, use the blue number on the right hand side of your game to obtain an SS and DMI combination (still must match the XEX of your game).
#
- Load ABGX360, Go to the "Manually Patch or Extract Files" tab,
#
- Tick "Patch even if stealth passes"
#
- Tick the Patch SS, & Patch DMI, then browse for the files you just downloaded.
#
- Go to the options tab
#
- UN-tick "Verify if stealth passes"
#

#
Click "LAUNCH"
#

#
The files should be patched and will say "patched successfully" for each one.
#

#
FINALLY, load the ABGX360 default settings again, (reselect the game iso if needed)
#
- Misc tab, make sure "Add if it doesnt exist or isnt valid" is selected for Splitvid
#
- Options tab, make sure "Verify if stealth passes" is checked
#
- UN-tick any boxes still ticked under "Manually Patch or Extract Files"
#

#
(the above should really all be enabled as default settings if they are not already. If you had to change to any of them, hold CTRL then press S to save your settings and choose "Default"
#

#
Click "LAUNCH"
#

#
If the game now shows SSv2, ALL CRC's Match, and you get Verification Successful at the end of the test, AND it says SPLITVID VALID (or added).
#

#
YOU NOW HAVE SSv2 and SPLITVID, YOUR GAME MATCHES OUR RETAIL RIP, so you are good to go.
#

#
Enjoy your game

You also need to make sure you get an SS that matches your XEX CRC.

Edit- Ahh, nevermind. I see you already got that listed. :)

Your DMI doesn't match what DMI CRC is in the data base. This is not bad, and you want to keep your DMI.

I've been checking my backups as well, and it appears Batman: Arkham Asylum is wave 3, but only ssv1. I only see ssv1 on abgx.net as well. I take it that makes it unsafe until there's a ssv2 SS.bin, right?

So has he given us a straight answer on if having a wrong ss is unsafe at all times, or just when connected to live?
