Looking for ANY emulators that can scan the USB HD for roms, and, if possible, can be stored on and ran from a USB HD, and having a helluva time finding any. Currently I am running NTFS / WBFS seperate partitions, each primary, will this setup work?

Most homebrew require a FAT32 partition to run. I would assume Emulators would be the same.

The CFG USB Loader guide in my sig works off FAT32. You actually convert the game ISO to WBFS files and add them to the FAT32 formated partition.

If you have room to add your backup games to a PC so you can format the WBFS to FAT32 then that would be the way to go (you could probably transfer them to the NTFS partiton of the USB Device).

If you go HERE there is a list of Emulators and it will tell you if it is USB compatible or not.

They're not working, though. Anyone? Just to point out, this has nothing to do with Wii ISO's, talking strictly emulators and their roms here.

I know your talking about ROMS not Wii ISO's. I am telling you how to redo your drive so you can have both Wii games and run ROMs from the USB Device.

Do you have the Emulators and ROMS installed on a FAT32 partition (They will not load on a NTFS.WBFS partiton)?

Also I added a link to my above post. If you click on the Emulators it will tell you if it supports USB or not. You may need to download the latest Emulator version to get the latest options.

Oh sweet, thanks! I lied, my external drive, at present, is only formatted WBFS; is there any way of resizing, then adding a FAT32 partition, w/out losing data?

No you can't do that.

The CFG USB loader guide has a PC application that will extract the Wii games from the WBFS drive and add them to another drive (PC or USB drive) as WBFS files.

You will then need to format the WBFS drive to FAT32. From there add the Wii games back to the newly formated FAT32 drive and add your ROMS.

O.K. sounds good. So it doesn't save the original uncompressed ISO, but rather the "scrubbed" version, so it will be the same filesize as it exists currently on my drive?

Go to the Guide: Configurable USB Loader using FAT32 Partition (NO WBFS PARTITION NEEDED) guide in my sig.

Download the USB loader pack and extract it. You should then see the application that you use to transfer the games.

Follow the TRANSFER GAMES ON WBFS FORMATED DEVICE TO FAT32 FORMATED DEVICE: section of the guide (it can transfer to NTFS also).

This will extract the Wii games off the WBFS formated drive and convert them to WBFS files (the WBFS file would be the same size as what the game is on a WBFS partiton) and place them on your PC drive.

After you have transfered the games to your PC follow the CFG USB LOADER FORWARDER: section and CFG USB LOADER: section.

Now transfer the Wii WBFS file games on your PC back to the USB Device wbfs folder.
