Hi
my xbox have the lite-on with 7485 firmware, i have a question about key extraction, do i need to extract the key each time i flash my lite-on with a new custom firmware or once i have the key all i have to do is spoof/flash using the same key originally extracted?

once you have the key you use it over and over. save your key, inquiry, identity, and dummy.bin files and you can use them later to make your firmware if you need to update. Or you can just use the dummy from ixtreme tab in jungle flasher, it will read the firmware for you and give you the key again without having to probe the drive.

did you had any problem using the key extractor?
and what is the function of the MODE switch?

nope, put the pin in the hole and click dvdkey32 and it will work perfect.

yea im pretty sure the xbox from july 09 till now are new lite ons no matter what,i think we will only start seeing 74850c from older models,i think ms is doing the new lite ons to stop modders from flashing there systems which ms failed since its been hacked already

my mistake , i should mention the mfg 2009-11-17 xbox is from the rrod warranty return. it was a old xbox and MS gave him a new box with that mfg date.

it has the 7485c but its probably 7485cV2 which will require cutting and soldering to on the drive PCB or ordering a separate kit, such as the teamxecture LT switch
