Obviously I'm a noob with a noob question. I've downloaded a 360 game that came with a .iso and a .dvd, but I'm confused. What do I do with them?
I've burnt .iso movies before but I just don't know what the .dvd file is or how to use it.
I have both a PC and a Mac, so tips for either will do (I prefer using my mac)
Thanks.
delete it. then run the game through abgx360gui to ensure the game is correct, at that time it will make you a new .dvd file. use it to burn in imgburn or your favorite software. you have to burn the dvd file because it has the layer break information in it, when you select the .dvd it gives this info to the burning software and then burns the .iso to your dl disk.
"All drives should be updated to Lite Touch + (LT+) firmware if playing on XBOX live. Samsung drives and pre-78/79 Hitachi drives do not utilize AP 2.5. All other drives are considered to be detectable by Microsoft (YMMV). Make sure all rips are ABGX verified, contain SSv2, and patched AP2.5 (where needed). XGD3 must currently be burned on new drive with PC Burner Max firmware for 100% rip. All modded consoles can be potentially unsafe for use on XBOX live."
Yes. If need be, abgx360 will overwrite the old invalid .dvd file, because it is creating a new dvd file and Windows automatically overwrites the file.

Thanks.
I've never used imageburn but the programs Ive used never have a place for .dvd. (just select .iso) I'll DL imagburn on my lonely PC (I really don't used PC's that often) and I'll give it a try.
If anyone has any other info that might help me, I'd be stoked to hear it.
Thanks again everyone.

- You have the .dvd & .iso.
- The iso is the actual game (which you already know).
- The .dvd file tells ImgBurn where to finish burning the first layer, and where to start the second layer (which is what's meant by "layerbreak". (without this info the 360 will not read the disc correctly).
- Run the ISO through AGBX360. ABGX360 ensures the structure of the ISO is correct, and that the .dvd file is correct (it probably is already correct, but since you downloaded the game, you shouldn't trust sources that you don't know).
- With your .dvd & .iso in the same folder use ImgBurn to burn the .iso at 4x to a Verbatim DVD+R DL disc. Best Buy & Sam's Club carries Verbatims also. (Note :you can use any other brand of DVD+R DL discs, but they "strain" your your 360's laser, shortening it's life).
- The disc should load if your 360's firmware is up to date. Use iXtreme LT or at least iXtreme 1.61.
