Basically, I've read every tutorial I've seen and still don't know how to build my own lpt cable and other cables!

I have a zephyr mobo.

What cables do I need and how do I build them.

Send some links, I'll be happy!

Regards

Budro

Works with the 360.

You can solder the pins into the JTAG points so you can have solderless connections. Actually thinking about ordering this myself. :)

Awesome. So that is everything I would need?

What if I chose to use the cygnos360 v2? What would I need then? What would be easier?

The cygnos360 v2 is actually soldered to the board of the 360. It allows you to use USB to read and write. I don't believe the cygnos has support for "big block" NANDs but I do believe it is coming.

Do you know which is easier?

Also, you said that the cygnos is actually soldered to the board. Is that implying that the normal jtag doesn't require soldering?

I know these might be dumb, but for the life of me, I can't assimilate enough consistent facts from all the tutorials I've read to figure out what I need lol

Either way, both will require soldering. I feel that JTAG'ing would be easier but that may jut be me.

Here is the Cygnos tutorial you can take a look over.

I'm with this guy, I just can't wrap my head around the jtag tutorials. I'm considering just ordering one somewhere and avoiding all this hassle, but then the geek in me wants to go the DIY route.

Ok after seeing the cygnos tut, I think it would be best to simply buy the DIY device.

What would I use the device for though? I suppose I a still confused as to what purpose it serves :\ could someone fill me in?
