Scenario

Currenltly have a Wii in lounge with external 1.5TB external HDD which I can either load ISO's from by going into HBC then choosing GX Loader, or via a channel I've installed on main menu using WiiFlow which has a WBFS partition

Just bought another Wii for bedroom and want to connect another 1.5TB drive and have all ISO's on that HDD too.

Now looking around on what's developed since I initally did this is seems people are suggesting using FAT32 or NTFS partitions so I've a few questions

1. If I used FAT32 aren't I restricted to 4GB file size and therefore what would I do with some games that are above 4Gb for example Alone in the Dark
2. Are there any other pro's/con's I need to consider for either partition type?
3. Does GX and WiiFlow support both FAT32 and NTFS? or should I consider a different loader?
4. What program might I use to transfer my ISO's from my current WBFS drive to either a FAT32 or NTFS HDD?
5. Given that I want to transfer 250+ ISO's from my current WBFS HDD what would be best way for me to go? FAT32, NTFS or stay with WBFS?

Sorry for all the questions but all these additional options have confused me as to the best way forward

Thanks

Why have you started another thread?

I already answered most of these questions for you.

If you had read the CFG USB Loader guide and past post (in my sig) like I had suggested you would have read that the program will split the game at the 4GB limit which will end up creating 2 files (eg... game.wbfs and game.wbfs1).

FAT32 can be used for all USB compatible Wii Homebrew Applications (Emulators/Video Streaming/HBC (instead of using SD card).

I already told you in your other post that WiiFlow does not support loading games off a FAT32/NTFS formated Device. GX might but I would recommend using CFG USB loader over both anyway.

Again I told you that you would use Wii Backup Manager. As well there is a section in the guide telling you how to transfer games from a WBFS Device to a FAT32 Device.

You can do whatever you want. You can stay on WBFS or use NTFS. But again I will suggest going to FAT32 so you can use your USB device with other Homebrew Applications other then just for USB Loading.

If you want to use the USB Device to store other files other then Wii stuff and the files are over 4GB you could always partition the USB Device into two (eg... Make a 1TB partition and format it FAT32 for Wii Homebrew & USB loading. Format the rest of the 500GB to NTFS for file storage other then Wii). If your just going to use the USB Device for Wii then I would format it all to FAT32.
