N00B question about modding/flashing

i only got a xbox 360 elite about 3 months ago because of the price cuts. I been hearing alot about modding and flashing your xbox. I was wondering if a should do one of these. I would be prefer not opening or voiding the warranty of the xbox. I been reading varied anwsers to banning on xbox live. These consist of instant banning to no one has never been banned. Xbox live is a big part of gaming for me and do not want to be banned. If i flash or mod my xbox im a likely to get banned?


P.s i no there are alot of posts about things like this but i really dont want to be banned from xbox live and alot of them are old, things change.

If live is that important to you and you wanna keep the warranty buy a cheap 360 off Ebay to keep offline and get that one modded you can find one for under $100.00 void the crap out of that warranty lol
