i made the probe from THIS url.
When i plug it into my computer it freezes it. Any ideas?

You obviously did something wrong. Undo everything and try again, my guess is you got solder bridging positive and negative points on the serial connector

so i rebuilt it and made sure that the solder wasn't touching anything else and this one looks much better
but now when i turn on my computer when connected to the liteon drive it freezes either before the log on screen or once signed into the desktop
even when i disconnect the drive it freezes sometimes idk why it didn't do this before
help?
