First I want to describe, what Hardware (and Software) I have:
- my DSi (firmware 1.4E / Europe Version)
- a DSlite (it´s not mine)
- an Acekard 2i which is compatible to DSi´s
- a Micro SD Card of course
- AIKIO (right?) Firmware
- the Update Data
Somwhere in the internet i found out, that u need to make an update with the card, so it will run on a DSi with the Firmware-Version 1.4
I also found out, that this update has to be made with a DSlite, so I put the SDcard into my card reader---copied the firmware und update data on it and tried to start it on the DSlite. Is this right so far or did i do something wrong,yet?
So the DSlite showed, that there is an Acekard inside but when i klicked on it there appears just a black background and the word "loading"...nothing happens for hours!!!
Acctualy there has to be something lik a bluescreen to make an update, but it doesn´t.
get the original firmware from acekard.com and then try. the alternate software might not even work with the update file i dont think. unless you did get to the update and now it wont work is the problem. if that is the case invest in a new card, the update does warn that there is a slight chance that it will brick. just did mine the other day without problems.
Okay i guess it has to be a new one. The Update warns, thats true, but i can´t even see the warning-screen. That´s shit!!!I hat the online shop, i go it from
if you didnt even get to run it then it didnt break. just use the original asekard firmware not the AKAIO FW. you have to have both the update files AND the firmware files. the frozen loading screen inticates that the akmenu4.nds is corrupt. http://www.acekard.com/download/ak2/ak2_421_20091217_release.zip is the official DL
you must have got a bum card, the same thing happened to my girlfriend's r4. ppl like to reproduce cards with different hardware and pass them off as real. always go to the actual support site and look at the resellers page, and if that is were you got it from try returning it sometimes its just a bad flash (the software for the chip itself didnt load properly, not the files you put on the sd card.). there are many variables. i have gone through 5 cards 4 of them r4s (the first one was real but the rest were fake) and finally got to the acekard and loving it.
So u think, that my card is a bad one, because they did something wrong with the flash?
I searched in the internet a found some people, who describe same problems. Can I trust the Acekard (you say u love it) or should i better get another one like M3i Zero?
i would honestly search on it. i got mine from a canadian dealer and its real with no shipping http://www.5thdimensionstore.com/ and they seem pretty legit. try looking on the resellers page http://www.acekard.com/distributors.php for an area near you. i live in the states, NY to be exact. i went for the one that could be soft flashed like with the update for the acekard (even though its not official, one of the team members approved it as safe.) but like i said its up to you i hear edge is really good but has an issue with the sd card sticking out very slightly.
