USB Loader games stuttering?

Hi all,

I have been using my USB HDD with USB Loader (installed via Larry's tutorial).

Everything works great, but there';s one thing thats bugging me lately.

Some backups keep freezing momentarily during playback. The game freezes for 5-10 seconds then resumes.

I have music and vids on the same HDD (albeit on another partition) and these playback fine, its just the game backups that hickup.

I use WiiBackup Manager to convert from ISO to WBFS. I have re-converted one of my games to ensure the first convertsion was not faulty. However, it still freezes. Its like when you play a scratched CD, the music repeasts on and on for a few seconds then resumes, thats what i get. Although here both music and graphics freeze abnd then resume.

My USB HDD is a 1TB HP SimpleSave.

Any ideas?

Could be bad spots on the USB Hdd or an image issue.

Try renaming the extension of 1 of the games that are stuttering (eg.. game.x instead of game.wbfs) keep the game on the USB Device but just rename the extension.

Now transfer that same game to the drive but keep the proper extension ,wbfs at the end then try playing that game.

If it stutters then it is probably a image issue. if it doesn't then you probably have a bad spot on your USB HDD Device where the game that stutters is located.

Hope this makes sense.

If you have room transferring your games to the other partition then formating the FAT32 partition again and transferring the games back to that partition again might help.
