Ok this might have already been answered if so can you direct me there? Heres the thing. I have a video file(XVID). When I go to play it, its green! The audio is there but all i see is green...and there's an error message when it starts. I installed codecs but it still does it...anyone know a way to fix it?

Thanks in advance...

i had a very similar problem. i converted an XviD file to SVCD and it worked fine. however, when i tried to multiplex it with TMPGEnc to VCD (Non-Standard) the audio is fine but the video is just a solid green block :S does nobody have an answer???

ohnine your signature is disturbing, but anyway

what player are you using to view the movie?? if its the free divx player and ur seeing this it means that urve deleted the adware that comes with it rendering it useless, if you want to watch movie files with the free divx player you have to put up with all the bits and pieces that come with it(i.e spyware).

if your not using the divx player then urve got a codec conflict of some kind, uninstall all the codec packs you have and only install the codecs that you need.

heres a link for the xvid codec needed for playback:
