ok so i finally decided to go playing iso from hdd route. anyway i can drag wad files also? how can i play snes nes and other games from the usb loader without an sd card?
ok, so you have to have a partition on your hard drive formatted as FAT or FAT32(as your sd card was). With this partition, you will treat it just the same as you treated your sd card (as if it were the sd card, exactly the same)Here's the part that sux though, if you have a hdd that has data on it already, you need to reformat it so you can have two partitions; one that will read your wii games (WBFS, I think) and one that is FAT32. the WBFS partition will be your wii games, and the FAT32 partition will be all of your homebrew apps I.E. your NES,SNES.ect....
Wad files... will have to be installed on your wii using wad installer. Keep in mind this will drain memory from your wii system, so only install wad files that you need at the moment, cause you dont want to over load your wii system memory. You can also uninstall wad files with wad installer by the way.
On a side note... When I use this method, for some reason, I have to go through my homebrew channel twice before it recognizes my usb hdd(I have to click on homebrew channel, then exit and click on it again before it reads my usb hard drive). I know this is weird but I've had this trouble since I set mine up, and I would like to know if you have the same problem. In other words, if it doesn't work the first time you click on homebrew channel, try to go back and do it again, I would like to know if maybe I'm the only one with this issue, or if it might be common. Anyway I hope this helps you set your home brew apps up by way of hard drive. Please give me feedback on how it worked for you. If I wasn't any help somebody else here is sure to be able to help you.
