Hi folks.
I'm having problems with my Mass Effect 2 backup. I have a IEx 1.51 modded old Xbox 360 Elite with Hitachi drive. It's been banned on XBL for a few months now. The IEx is old so till now I have been patching the iso's with PPF-O-Matic 1.4-1.5 patch. I've done the same with Mass Effect 2 and inserted the disc. Then the console prompted me for an update which I couldn't do, because of the ban. It tried to do the update from the disc and it also failed. So, the game doesn't load because he can't update my firmware. What should I do? Should I update IExtreme to 1.61? Or maybe patch my ISO's differently?

Please help.

Thx.

Why have you been patching the iso's? a Hitachi with 1.51 will play all waves.

Hmm. Really? I didn't know that. This is my second X360. The previous had a BENQ drive and IEx 1.5 so I've been always patching because of that. However... Dark Void still works fine with the patch. ME2 doesn't. It asks for console update. I'll try to burn the image without a patch, but I'm worried I'll waste another DVD DL ;) .

ME2 is working fine on my 1.51 Hitachi with no patches, So I don't think it'll be a wasted dvd ;)

But you probably do have the latest updates downloaded from XBL?

Last time I updated was Oct last year. You can always just manually update it with a USB stick or cd though.

Quick question regarding Mass Effect 2, on ABGX.net on the database it has the Mass.Effect.2.XBOX360-GLoBAL release as pre-patched SS and stealth but when im running both disks on ABGX its still not verifying the data which in turn wont tell me the drive used to rip it :S
