Switching Live ID between accounts and back?

To put it simply (because explaining all of it would just be too convoluted and complicated and by the time I'm done you'd be lost), say I have Profile1 associated to Profile1@hotmail.com (windows live id), and a Profile2 that isn't even live enabled yet. I want to switch Profile1's live id to SomethingElse@hotmail.com, and give Profile1@hotmail.com to Profile2. Then when I'm done (for whatever purpose I'm doing this) I want to switch it back. Will I be able to do this? I'm asking before doing this is because I don't want to switch it and then find that I can't switch it back or if there are some other arcane stupid M$ policy that bars me from changing it back.

I'm doing this for ME 2's free DLCs btw, in case you're wondering. Thanks!

check this out

you can switch the email address related to your profile through the xbl dashboard. just switch your profile email to another live address and then switch it back.

if you really want to switch the 2 profile emails with eachother, you're still going to need a 3rd email address since you can't have one profile with 2 emails.

Thanks :) I know how ME 2 code redeeming works and I have working perfectly. The thing is I had a non-legit ME 2 first playing on my non-live profile, on my offline-exclusive box. Now I've got my legit collector's edition but I don't want to play it all over again :p

I know I can change it in account management, just didn't know if it would stop me from changing back (logically, it wouldn't, but big corporations aren't known to do the smart thing).

I'm planning on playing this less-legit profile on a non-modded box though (transferred to memory card to play on legit box), do you think the account would get banned just because of this? (I hear only severe cases like racism, etc get banned) I don't really care about the achievements. I did play the game early on my offline box.

i keep my profile on a memory card and switch back and forth between my modded offline box and non-modded box that is connected to xbl. the only thing i make sure of is that if i play a game before the street date with my gamertag that i don't go online with it until the street date.

i always wondered if it looks suspicious though cause half of my achievements have time stamps and the other half do not.

Ahaha, what a dumbA I am :p On a hunch a tried it, and it turns out you only have to have the right Windows Live ID to download the DLCs. Once they're downloaded, they're accessible to all profiles on the box :)

That's cool that you do that. Until yesterday I didn't even know you can carry around your profile like that (new to 360).
