TDK DL+R vs Verbatum DL+R for Xbox 360 backup

Verbatum too expensive. I knkow TDK can do it too. My question is is it different between TDK and Verbatum. They are only two brand are the best for xbox360 right?

I use memorexs just fine. I even burn them on 6x. I've had 4 xbox's I used them on (original 2 were banned, two new unbanned ones) and only 1 had trouble reading it (was used when I got it) so I did a pot calibration on it and it read them fine too. Everyone says use only verbatim and they may be better media/dye/whatever but in my opinion not enough to warrant the difference in price

Your best bet with TDK's (and all media for that matter) is to first check for the latest firmware for your burner. Make sure you're up to date. Then check the media code for the tdk's and see if it's on your drive manufacturess recommended list.

I use arita mainly and never had a bad burn, even games i burnt 2 years ago still work flawlessly.

Thank you all for the friendly advice. I like verbatim too, but to pricey. I have done a lot of research. verbatim is the best pick for xbox360 burn. TDK is on sale now. i dont really want to miss the chance.... I hope TDK is good too.

Last spool of TDK I had most went in the bin as coasters.. 80% failure rate.. just because they are on sale does not make them good value..

Why do we keep having this discussion? .. for 360 burns use verbs.. it's as simple as that unless you want to trash your laser early or throw loads of disks away. TDK are well known poor media.. notorious even.. cmc B media at a guess.. they always fail at or before the layer break.. the ones which will burn at all that is.

btw.. I have a few arita disks (the pretty pink ones) from back in the day (old xbox) .. they were fine when burned 5 years ago but now are showing data loss with files failing to copy and a lot of seeking and dde's unlike the ridata same formula disks which are still 100%
