Can i play AND copy games with the kreon firmware?

Also can i play games off the hard drive? Can i play xbox1 games with the kreon firmware? Man I hope this thread title is ok ;-)

Kreon is a firmware for your PC's drive, not the xbox 360s. Do not use kreon to rip your games because they will not be safe for live. If you want to play games directly from harddrive (or usb) without the disc you have to jtag. If you want to play xbox 1 games you can use xtreme 5.3a if it's available for your drive (hitachi or samsung). And yes, your title is ok because it is descriptive rather than "z0mg halp!!!1" ;)

Dude thanx! Can i jtag and still play xbox1 games? What about the ixtreme 1.6 firmware is that for the 360 drive? Can i play copied 360 games with ixtreme 1.6? And can i rip games with it?

I'm not sure how jtag works with xbox 1 games, I've never tried it but I believe you have to download something from live (and jtag is not safe for live). iXtreme 1.61 is the latest firmware out for all drives except the liteon. 1.6 needs the activation disc for some games. 1.61 can play burned games as well as rip them when connected to your PC and powered on tray half open (or use 0800 mode standalone firmware). The safest method for play on xbox live though is LT (or wait for LT if it's not out for your drive)

Where can i get an activation disc? And whats the 0800 mode standalone firmware? Is it different to 1.6? How would i power on with the tray half open?

The 0800 mode fw is made for ripping games. It doesnt even play games. But it makes the best rips. I dont know if the 0800 mode built into 1.6/1.61 is any different from the standalone fw but the standalone fw doesnt require the half open trick. Both can be found in xbins and I believe (though not positive) the activation disc is there too
