Pros: you can play games that require 6.00 OFW
Cons: its underrated
Pros: it works exactly like 5.00m33 (for me)
Pros: you get a newer update

i honestly do no think there are any cons, you still will have the m33 drivers. and like stated you can play 6.0 games. i have seen some glitches in the d3 which i use all the time, but nothing to worry alot about.

is there 1.5 support for D2 now?

that would be the only drawback that I knew of, because some emulators wouldn't be supported in that case. most have been ported for the 3.xx+ kernel anyway.

Since all the games have been patched to work on 5.00m33 are their any benefits to going to Gen-D3 - no!

its real easy no patching, i don't bother with emulators though all i play is psp/psx and some Movie's but, I've read some comments on afterdawn with problems with Nintendo emulators gba one's if i remember, but got a ds/dsi for them so don't bother.

Very few problems with 5.50 gen d3. I wish IR shell had a patch to get everything working correctly but even that works for the most part.
