Hi all, I have searched but can't really locate the information that will answer my questions.

I have a softmodded 4.2U console via Larry's guide on here. I was able to install BootMii as boot2. I have a nand backup and have it copied on my PC. I've also read that Priiloader is needed, but then I see where it's not really needed if you're able to install BootMii as a boot2.

Is there any advantage for my setup to installing Priiloader? If I do not install Priiloader, is there a way I can force my console to skip disc updates, or is Priiloader required for this? Are there any cons for loading Priiloader on my setup? Will Priiloader boot similar to BootMii in that it will only load up when I have the SD card inserted, or will my system always boot to Priiloader rather than the system menu once/if I install Priiloader?

With Priiloader you can skip disc updates and have region free WADs. Aslo, you can set it to where it boots to the System Menu like usual.

The biggest advantage that I see in using priiloader is the ability to have it load up my usb loader on startup. It basically allows you to replace the whole OS by simply skipping it all together.
