My Wii is 4.1U with both hard and softmod. When I try to copy a channel using the SD icon it says "Device Inserted In Slot A Can Not Be Used". I get this message with the several brands of SDHC cards I tried that are over 2gb...my 2gb cards work fine. My last attempt was with a 16gb Patriot class 6 SDHC card. Homebrew and wad manager work fine from the same card but Wii data management says the card can not be used. I have also tried several other brand 4 & 8gb sdhc cards that are class 2,4 & 6. I have spent days searching for a solution and tried formating he cards with the Panasonic SDformatter V2.0 others suggested on several other forums and that did not work.

Try holding the SD card in for a few seconds after inserting.
