usb to sata ide cable mod?

hi there.. i was unable to find any via pci cards in my area the one i found was a silicon chipset.. which i read was uncompatiable..
so i went and bought a usb to sata ide cable hoping to be able to mod the xbox 360 with this..

just a heads up have a premodded xbox want to update it
a lite-on drive the old ones the 7000series

can i or can i not use this usb to sata ide cable to connect the xbox360 and flash the drive.. (any tutorial on this?????)
