I'm trying to author a DVD out of an mpv file. The problem is when I import it into Ulead DVD Workshop it wants to convert it to a Disc Template, even though it's already a DVD-spec file. There's a "Convert to Disc Template" option but it's greyed out so I can't uncheck it. If anyone can tell me how to turn this option off it would be much appreciated. I've tried googling and RTFM, neither gave me any joy.

A Disk Template is Just a Template used in your Project it does not mean it is going to re-encode the File...
What I do is Start DVD workshop and first thing go to "Options" to "Disk Template Manager" and then Click on "New" Now Make a Template that is exactly the same as the Specs used to create your Mpeg2/DVD File, So set the Resolution to the same resolution of your File and then set the bitrate to the Same as the Max bitrate used to create your File...
After you have set it up Just like the way the Mpeg file was Created includeing the Audio Specs give the Template a Name and save it....
Now go to "options" to "project properties" and On the Bottom select the Template you Just created...
Now Load in Your Mpeg2 file and author it Like Normal and it will Not Re-Encode your File as Long as it matches your Files properties.....Cheers

PS: A Mpv File is Generally Just a Video Only file with no audio and if you do not have any audio you might not be able to create a DVD...

Thanks for the reply.. I think it may have reencoded the file because it took about an hour (Pentium 4 2.6c @ 3.12ghz) without much hard disk activity but 100% processer usage. I guess my disk template didn't exactly match the file specs. I know .mpv doesn't contain audio, I had an .mpa track in there too ;).
