Please help me flash DG-16D2S 74850C.

Hello, I just got a used xbox360 with DG-16D2S 74850C drive flashed with a older firmware (don't know what version). I want to update it to the newer FW to play wave4 games. I don't know if the dvd is bad or what. When i put in a wave4 game, it show "Play DVD", but i can play wave2 games. Could it be dvd drive is bad or FW cant read wave4 making it show "Play DVD"? Please help me flash this with minimum accessories purchasing. Also, is there a way to patch ISO before burning to disc and force older FW to work with wave4 games? Also, I don't need online gaming feature, I barely play games.If not too much to ask, please post product's full name so i can do more reading and/or buy. Thanks.

need to update your firmware u can go with 1.61 or LT,there is a thread on here how to flash 78series just search and u need a probe

I just used the activator disk and now i was able to play modern warfare2.
