Hi Guys/Girls

I just wanted to ask if anyone knows which is the best probe for flashing a liteon Drive (74850c). I need all the bits and I don't want to do any soldering,
and where is the best place to purchase one of these devices in the UK?
any help will be much appreciated.

Well all you need is either CK3 Pro + Probe (Connectivity Kit V3) or Maximus Xtractor + Spear either will do. You can find them on any UK site that has them in stock simply by typing either name in google. Also if you dont have a compatible chipset in your mother board for flashing the lite on...youll also need to order a VIA 6421 PCI Card. Check Ebay for any of the items ppl usually sell them for cheap. (-_-)

Thank you for your speedy reply very helpful,
my board has an AMD based chip-set, i can flash benqs and Samsung with this chip-set so will i be ok to do the liteon drives ?

Heres a list for you to see for yourself bro http://www.se7ensins.com/forums/firmware...0-flashing.html you can alwayz try it out 1st and add a newchipset to a list of other compatible ones if it does work out. If not, just buy the VIA 6421 PCI sata card (-_-)

You can get a CK3 + probe for £26 + p&p. I paid near £40 for mine this time last year, so this is a great price. Just make sure that you've selected to add solderless probe to your order.
