Hi there. Was recommended to ask you guys, so hope you can make me a bit smarter when it comes to this.

But yeah i wanted to flash my 360, and came to the part with "look for the wires to see what drive you have". I looked. No wires. . . .

Hitachi. So i read what i needed and figured i had it all.
So i bought some DL disc and the needed Torx key.
I split the thing apart to find out it was a Lite-On and not a Hitachi.,.. Apperently the wires are just not visable.
So 1 point 360 and fail Me.

So now i found some tutorials on how to flash a Lite-On. . . And its looking expensive. But im not a 100% on what i need, and would rather be since it looks like i have to get those things from other countries.
(i live in Denmark. So if you know the secret store let me know).

But yeah. So first of i know for all drives i need a Sata cable and port. Does it have to be the "IDE PCI SATA Serial ATA Card PC VIA VT6421A 6421"?

cause whats the difference of that and my Sata port on my motherboard?
(info:_ I have two on the motherboard. one is curently used for a secondary HDD. )

Then i need either (i dont think i need both do i? )

usbxtractor or ck3 kit "which i can only get from outside DK it seams- "

But the UsbXtractor (which should be the cheapest) has to items with that name. . .

So yeah.. sorry i know im a bit noobie. . . But i want to flash it and i want to be sure that what i get is the right thing to the best price. And that i have everything this time to do so...

And if theres any questions. . (no mater how stupid) please ask, so we can figure out together whats needed so i get the flashing going soon as possible.

Flashing a 7485c is fairly easy. The only hardware you need is
CK3 WITH Probe
VIA 6421 SATA chipset. Some on board SATA ports work too
and then follow this easy tutorial by leerage
Instead of downloading 1.6 for liteon just download lite touch.

Like i said... need it shipped to Denmark.. So the cheapest/fastest/safest if you can recommend any.

And about the SATA on the motherboard... thats just 50/50 or is there a way to make sure?

Onboard SATA:
MSI k7n2 delta (Promise SATA) - Does not work
Abit NF7-S2G Nnforce2 SATA (mapped as IDE ports 3+4) - Compatible
VIA Chipset - Compatible
Intel Chipset (ICH5 / ICH6) Compatible
ASUS P5AD2 premium (with ICH6) - Compatible
Promise Sata controller on the ASUS P4C800E-Deluxe - Compatible
Other chipsets are hit and miss but compatibility is being added whenever possible

The link you provided is just for the Probe you also need the CK3 with that. Like this one
The probe will plug into the CK3

ok for the sata part.... Theres a huge ass chip on my motherboard that sais "VIA" aint that a good sign?

And for the tools...

Weel buying both is gonna cost...
But i have a tutorial where it suggest one of two items to be used. And they prefer to use this tool :

If you have VIA ports on your motherboard then it is a good sign and yes the USB extractor will work fine for flashing.

im a bit puzzled on what kinda VIA PORTS your talking about... But did a autodetect and this is the only parts its says anything about VIA. Så maybe you can tell, from that ?=

So now its only the SATA im confused about.
But think ive figured that i have a good chance with the mentioned sata port above. ?=
