Hi !

I have been unable to produce a clean copy for viewing, without the movie starting and stopping, over and over again. I have tried the simple button and no luck.
All Iam trying to do is make a copy?

I would appreciate some help!

Thanks

Can't be of much help to you as I don't use this software.

But your best bet is to go to this forum:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/forum_view.cfm/78

and do a search for your specific problem.

Hi!

I just ordered Ritek from a vendor in CA.

Iam in Minnesota and have not seen this brand.

I have been currently us FUJI and IMATION, and have had poor results. I really thought it was the software, but I know 321 puts out great stuff.

I will keep you abreast of my progress.

As far as I know 321 Studios burning software is no longer legal to use. I used it over a year ago and it didn't work out at all for me, the only good thing that came out of wasting the $100 is that I ended finding this forum which led to the best technique in my opinion w/ using Shrink/Nero combination. I think that X Copy and all of the other versions of this software hasn't been legal since the end of February.

PC:
Windows Home SP1
Biostar M7VIT, AMD Athlon XP 2000+
1024MB Centon PC2700
ATI Radeon 9600XT 256MB DDR
IBM 60GB 7200RPM
Pioneer A07
Software: Shrink 3.1.7.6 & Nero 6

PS2 v4 fliptop:
Swap Magic DVD 2.0 & CD 3.0
Main DVD-R Ritek G04 & Piodata

hi again roughcoat
Im in the sioux falls area, and mark me down, for the dvd shrink/nero combo, as being the way to go for your back up needs.
But if x-copy suits your needs then so be it.I think its still legal but they cant supply a ripper anymore(i maybe wrong on that tho)
If you do decide to dump your 321 stuff, theirs lots of people including myself, that can help you figure it all out.
cya later neighbor and welcome to the club

This is what was decided in late February:
Quote:
As many of you may have already heard, Judge Illston of the Northern District of California Court ruled against us last Friday and in favor of the movie studios. This is the first major decision in the six lawsuits in which we are now involved.
Her ruling included an injunction preventing us from continuing to sell the current version of our popular DVDXCOPY software if it included a ripper. This injunction takes effect 7 days from her order. While we do not agree with the rationale behind the decision, we intend to fully comply with the order and, at the same time, file an appeal and ask her to stay the injunction pending the appeal.
This decision is unfortunate news for us. However, we expected the fight for fair use rights to be a long one when we initiated it almost two years ago. We also expected to face great opposition and to take some hits along the way. Well, we are still here and are not going out of business. Starting next week, we?ll sell ripper-free versions of DVDXCOPY as well as all our other popular titles including DVDXSHOW, DVDXMAKER and DVDXPOINT.
If you?d like to read Judge Illston?s decision or articles written about us, please go to our web site at http://www.321studios.com. If you?d like to offer your support, please visit http://www.protectfairuse.org. Meanwhile, we are making every effort to continue to support you and your 321 products.
Please share this news with your friends and family. We can use all the support we can get to continue fighting for everyone?s fair use rights in today?s digital world.
Thank you for your ongoing support,
Sincerely,
The 321 Studios Team.
I'm not sure if there have been any updates or changes with this though. Either way, I would not ever go back to 321 Studios software and will continue to use Shrink/Nero until a better technique is created.

321 Stdio products are the biggest waste of money anyone has ever spent...

There ARE better programs that will do it all for free [and w/out watermarks plus ease of copying a copy ... if need be]

Method I have used for yrs now:
DVD Decrypter
DVD2One
Nero

But totally free way is to just get DVD Decrypter & DVD Shrink ;-)

Re comment "There ARE better programs that will do it all for free" free may a issue (as far as money is concerned) but correct me if I am wrong but I thought 321 studios had the best result when backing up a dvd ie without compression it was 100% exact quality to the original and the competion out there did not match this level or so they claimed last year in their forumn. Has this changed now have the others caught up?

Yes , there has ALWAYS been free software that will do 100% quality back ups !!
It means burning to 2 discs quite often tho... which is not a route I wish to follow :)
IFOedit will do it for you , have a read up as Im not going to instruct anyone in it's usage (because there are guides galore for it) !;-)
