Flashing a RROD drive possible?

Hi, im a noob at xbox modding. I have two xbox's one with an ms28 drive but it is RROD beyond repair and i have a ben-q xbox arcade thats perfect.

I was wondering if i could flash my ms28 thats dead, just for practice?

Also most guides i find about flashing benq drives seem terribly out of date, does anyone know where to find a new enough one

Sure but you'll need the key from the BENQ is you wanna see if the flash to the MS28 was good or you can just flash the MS28 as an 0800 drive to rip games. You would probably need to stay off XBL if you mess around with cuz you'll probably get banned

Yes you can flash your drive even if the board is RROD use this tutorial.... Jungleflasher 1.70 tutorial

thank you both, I haven't used Afterdawn in quite a while and the helpfulness and the friendliness is still amazing!

I found this tut http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/781253 and it is amazingly clear but have saved the one suggested also.

I think im confident enough to go ahead and flash my benq and like you said have the samsung as a back up creator.
