Hotswap with BenQ Drive?

I'm new to all this, but if I'm using a BenQ drive flashed with 0800 firmware do I still need to use the hotswap method in order to rip the game or can I skip that part and just rip the 360 disc straight-up?

Go right for the Rip using XBC.
