Hi! I have a softmodded 4.2E Wii. It cannot read copied DVDs. I have an external USB HDD and it is rather difficult for me to move it back to my computer to copy my new downloads to it (if my kids see that, they'll destroy everything). Is there a way to use the Wii to copy the files from a USB portable flash disk to the non-movable external USB HDD that I have to the Wii? After all, it has many USB ports...
Thank you!

You have a few options.

1) If PC and Wii is fairly close to each other you could get a USB Extnesion (I think I saw a 16ft one).

2) Use FTPii to transfer the game from your PC to Wii/USB HDD via WiFi/FTP (this will take allot longer to transfer the games this way).

The Wii (at least MY Wii) only has 2 USB ports, and only the outboard port can be used with storage devices.

Sure, use a PC.

No, seriously. As I stated above, the answer is NO. There is only one port on the Wii that can be used with a storage device.
