Can someone please confirm to me what the crack is with xbox 360 power supplies.

From what i know there is:
203w
175w
150w

My 175w power supply will fit in a 175w xbox but not a 203w xbox (which makes sense)

However my 203w power supply seems to fit a 175w xbox - will it break it if used?

What power supplies can i use with which xboxes and how can i tell what power supply is needed for each xbox by looking at the xbox itself?

Cheers

older power supplies will work with new units, but not vice versa. 203 will work with 175 and 150, 175 will work with 150 but 150 will not work with 175 and and 175 will not work with 203. by looking at the back of the box, there is very small differences in the connector, your just going to have to look, look up the thread "getting ready to jtag, most upto date" miketrev posted a pic of the 3 power plugs on the console itself

beacuse MS is constantly revamping the mobo's to use less power (less power=less heat which means less RROD).But yes, youre fine- the xbox will only use what it needs (150w)
