hey every one it has recently come to my attenion that i can back up my games. ive looked on you tube and to be honest i was left a little confused so im wondering if there is anyone here who can shed a bit more light on the subject for me.things like what i need and how to do it
Come on man! Are you kidding? Do some searching and some work on your own and then we (I) will be more than happy to help you. I've been doing it for over a year now and most of my learnings came from searching. So, come back in a few days and ask good questions.
A good question would be "Do I use Xbox Backup Creator or Schtrom 360 xtractor software?"
Read the sticky of this forum called "READ SECOND (rules 1st) Ultimate Sticky Sticky (closed)". It has numerous tutorials on things you have to do and check.

ihave done some searching and some people say i need to flash my xbox others say i dont some say i need a MOD CHIP others say i dont .ive downloaded img burner .and something called iso burner but the problem is im a dumb ass and need a little guidance or a nudge in the write direction

i also now have both programs metioned above but what do i do now
First off, you flash your xbox.
Secondly, you need to get the proper equipment. That costs money if you are going to do it yourself.
Benq drive and flash it to 800 firmware. (Needed to read the originals)
A connectivity kit to power that drive.
A proper Sata card for your computer.
Those three things will cost you 75 dollars and it depends on where you buy them from.
Then you need either one of the two programs I talked about. You will have to download and install image burn. Download and install abgx360 (this is to verify that you have a good rip).
Download the latest Jungle Flasher.
If you do all of that, I will help you get through it. So until then you have a lot of work to do.

sorry i messed up my last post ican get my xbox flashed for me .the xbox i want flashed has a hitachi-lg drive in it is it worth getting it flashed or do i need to put a benq drive in it frist.also iv read that they can be flashed from a memory stick is this true.so i guess what i asking is is it worth getting the xbox wit the hitachi drive flashed and if it is can i do it with a memory stick...i appreicate any help you can offer
So my question is with Xbox Backup Creator & Schtrom 360 xtractor software, can you use this software on windows 7 and will it extract the game data using any DVD+dl reader to read the 360 disc? or do you have to have a special DVD+DL drive to understand a 360 disc like the wii/GC?
