I have backed up about four dvd's. When I put them in my computers dvd player they work. When I put them in my regular dvd player they dont work. Whenever I put my burnt dvd in the player it just says its reading..... and never changes. My brother in law has the same dvd player and he says he hits play and they work, I do that and it doesnt work. I am going to try all the dvds I have on his machine to see if its just my machine, but in the mean time is there anything anyone knows that can help me. I used dvd shrink to get it to an iso file then I burn it with alcohol 120%, do I have to burn it with Nero? Is there anything else I could be doing wrong?
It sounds like you are doing pretty much everything OK. To be honest, I haven't used 120% alcohol to do a backup, though I have it - just thought it was too long a method.
For the ISO files still on your HD, just use the files for your source and your burner as the destination - Remember to "un-tick" verify in DVD Decrypter's main screen after you have selected ISO write under mode.
Lastly, I think you should try a better grade media. If you check our threads you?ll see we like ?branded? Ritek G04?s OR ?branded? Verbatim. Media makes a major difference -
