Hi, I've been lurking here for a while, but this is my first time posting.
I recently flashed my LiteOn 83850c v1 with iXtreme LiteTouch. I understand that LT doesn't provide stealthing built into the firmware like previous iXtreme releases, so I'm trying to be careful. I understand that SSv2 is preferred for Wave 3 and above games. (I already played a Wave 2 game with SSv1 before realizing that abgx360 has replacement SS's for download on their site, but hopefully that won't matter. *fingers crossed*)
Anyway, I have an ISO of Assassin's Creed 2 that has SSv1 that I'm trying to patch with SSv2 files from the abgx360 site. I made sure the files I downloaded matched my ISO's Xex CRC. I go into abgx360, disable online functionality, and select the SS and DMI files I want to patch. I then make sure to select the option to patch even if stealth passes.
However, when I run abgx360, it just doesn't patch. It goes through just like I haven't selected any manual patching options. What am I doing wrong? I'm probably missing something really obvious, but I can't seem to figure out what. If anyone could offer me some help, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!
(Bonus question if anyone knows the answer: Why does abgx360 patch some games automatically with SSv2 and doesn't with others? I had a Dragon Age: OriginsISO that was SSv1, and it auto-patched it to SSv2, but it hasn't done that with any other games so far.)
Under the options tab, make sure you take away the check mark for "Verify if Stealth Passes".
Under the Manually patch or Extract Files tab you need to add the files like you say you already have and click a check mark in the "Patch even if stealth passes." I think that I leave my level of autofix to 2 and press Launch!
