Hey, i will muchly appreciate all responses to this thread as it will help me out alot!
So im looking at getting the equiptment for xbox 360 flashing and ive been researching for about a month or 2 now.. and here is what i have discovered and am guessing is correct. I was wondering if someone could tell me if it is all good, or if i am missing anything.
I have an xbox 360 with a hard drive.
I'm looking at getting Maximus 360Xtractor, power dongle, spear tool, and the xbox360 opening tool.
I have the samsung drive with kreon firmware and have been making iso's of the games with xbox backup creator. I've also checked them with abgx and they are all good.
I dont know how to use jungle flasher or do any of the flashing part yet... the key reading or dumping etc.
So a tutorial of some sort would be great..
I don't understand the differant drives and differant ways of flasing.. is it harder or differant to flash a liteon compared to a benq or something? please explain.
I need a little information on what firmware to use. Ixtreme.. obviously i guess.. but they just brought out lite touch.. and what do i do for drives that arent a liteon drive..
Any information or things im missing here would be so good!
I'm in desperate need in knowing if im doing the right thing here.
You might want to search these forums. All of the questions that you've asked have been answered. If you plan on going on LIVE, you might want to look up SSV1 vs. SSV2. The only reason I say that is because you mentioned you have a kreon drive to backup games. Kreon can't read the additional angles that SSV2 produce, and therefore ending up with SSV1. It's best to buy an additional 360 drive and flash it with 0800 firmware to make backups. As for jungleflasher, just grab the .pdf tutorial and it will guide you in the right direction in flashing different drive types. Lite Touch is the newest firmware out, so it's probably the best. As of now, it's only been released for liteons, but benq drives are about done. Samsung and Hitachi are to follow with no ETA. Just so you know, there are different versions of liteons. Some require soldering and cutting traces.
thank you!
your reply is much appreciated. some helpful information.
i didnt know there was any drives that need soldering or cutting... i havent seen any of that yet?
is that for new drives? possibly for elite drives? maximus brought out litekey... which i dont understand how to use yet... but matbe that stops us from having to solder or cut?
any info there?
