Time has come now to give up all these cable boxes.
For now,Just hold on to the ones you have & Forget buying any more new types that suppose to be on the market> NOT Worth it. Waste of time,AS the lads have said on these threads over a long time such as
e45/Mooley/MICKAH. ONLY Boxes now are free sat/or stand alone satellite boxes with a patch added or cards (iks).ALL- Cable boxes will soon be dead> with Nagra 3 & maybe Nagra 4 later this year .Been try out in part of europe on Test.Nagra 3 is old hat ,New to us here, so there is talk of nagra 4 maybe not this year but next year or so in the pipe line.Well if they hack nagra3 they will switch to all new Nagra4.SO many guys are asking what type or new cable boxes to buy >FORGET IT.

why would they make a nagra 4 when 3 isnt even hacked yet.

I think someone might be refering to Nagra Media Access? I read somewhere it had already been done. Only read it mind.

If you read what he's said - N3 in Europe is an Old hat, same with the US so maybe over there they had a back up plan by working with N4 just in case the N3 was broken by any chance.Least then they already have a back up plan!!

will the free to air channels like bbc1 become scrambled once switched to n3 or will the boxes still be-able to recieve free to air channels? does anyone know?

eventually it will all go, those chans may be left till last, but why would ya bother as you can get them anyway?????

Just plug the cable straight into your Tv and you will receive the free to air channels. The boxes will not clear them once they change over. They still have to supply you free to air channels via analogue after the change.

Kuddelski the maker of the Nagravision Encryption has been ask to upgrade their system A while ago ,Due to the attack from cyper space on their Nagra 3 encryption by hacker on card sharing. Ask by IP.& Providers around Europe to look for a new Nagravision to come on stream. so Tests are going on around Part of Europe with some Providers in toe.Parts of nagra 3 have been broken up by these cyper hackers over a while ago.I use a Technomate tm-6900 HD Combo sat box
with a patch so i get lot of movies /sports ch's on different satellites around the earth.Motorized dish. mom the word as the saying goes on that. SO from that that above it won't be long to see that a Nagra 4 be around the corner in a year or so.
people on this thread is not aloud to talk on things on cyper space going on ,so alot is not knowing what is going on out there.

ok guys i am after a bit of help here,
so almost time for the blackout so my 2 boxs will be no good.
i dont have an arial in the house just a cable conection witch is also split upstairs.
i have 1 v box witch i can run down stairs but i need something for upstairs to get the free to air/virgin m package on.
can i get another v box and will i need another card? will virgin supply one of those?
if i bought a second hand v+ hd box do i need a different card to run it as i only use a standard v box at the moment?
i know i cant get any FREE channels but i realy need at least the free to air/freeview/virgin m channels in both locations in my house?

free to air sat box i am looking for is dreambox500s,now dealextreme has one but it looks different to the one dreambox.org.uk have would one be a clone.

Well as 3r1c said why bring out Nagra4 if Nagra3 is not hacked.
Well let look at it. Nagra 3 have been broke up into bit & pieces
By these hackers in Europe for a long time now. works with some cards
& i say not fully.? some channels work & some Don't It a hard System to break over all, But they broke some of the coding for it. That why the Kudelski the maker of Nagravision are not going to sit on their arses waiting for Nagra3 to be fully hacked, so now working on a new System so called Nagra4 in test & iron out the bugs to.
AS for ireilly24 i think u will need a card to match the box down stair & as far as i know is all these type boxes that comes from providers their cards are match to each other. so now u see y.There was talk on a Sat Channel i was looking at, was talking about Nagra4 & maybe Nagra 5 for Lan & IPTV. AS well.
