Hi there. I've tried searching but couldn't find anything specific to this.

I was wondering if you can still install DLC from a disc (say disc 2 of Fallout 3 GOTY) on a banned console or does the disabling of installing games also affect installing DLC?

Thanks in advance :)

A good question that I have no idea about.

I imagine that the DLC should still be installable, based on legal reasoning.

However, I could also see it going the other direction, from a technical standpoint.

$38 on new discs -- Check
$15 on burn after burn that showed as a DVD -- Check
$11 on new laser -- Check
$28 on new multimeter -- Check

I don't believe this will work. As the HDD is locked and this DLC needs to be installed on the drive. Can you try HerZZA and let us know if it worked.

I know the 2nd disc of forza 3 would install to a banned HD. But it's done from a menu on the first disc within the game. Not sure how the other games install the updates.

After some more searching it seems it will install to a banned 360.

The Fallout 3 DLC disc also has it's own menu so it works just like the Forza 3 addon disc.
