Veoh heads into bankruptcy

Why waste the money. Unless Veoh could patent troll something, Google could just steal the idea and make it their own, that is, if it were profitable.

Hulu conquered all from the beginning because it's owned by the networks. I use Hulu once in a great while because I use abc.go.com or nbc.com or cbs.com or fox.com or fxnetworks.com directly but c'mon.............Veoh..........one can only reinvent the wheel so many times before turning it back into a square.
Tv is tv, shows are shows and whether it's Hulu, Veoh and Stage 6 (whatever that is-If I haven't heard of it then most people haven't and no wonder it's done bye bye. Divx crap!)...........people just want to watch their missed programs quickly. Let's not forget, 99% of people still have to sit at a desk to watch. I however, have my computer hooked up to 1080p 52" Samsung 850 series LCD and it's da bomb.

How is that working for you? Does the quality suffers any since its streming from a site? I have and extra computer with a HDMI video card and was thinking about hooking it up exclusively to my TV to do that.

Actually it's the only way to go. I know you didn't ask for this but I'll give my history/experience with PC/Tv hookup.
Back in 2001 with the inception of XP I hooked up my 32" to (somewhat) higher end video cards via S-Video.
Then went to component on the same tv with newer cards.
Then I got this 52" and originally hooked it up via DVI-HDMI through my Onkyo receiver and now using ATI 4890 video card with Monster Ultra HDMI straight from the card. IT'S UNBELIEVABLE and you will NEVER EVER EVER go back to using a 'monitor' per se. Clear as crystal and clearer than if not just as clear as any monitor. 1920x1080 resolution. Windows 7 looks beautiful, pure HD gaming and HD streaming sources from fox.com, abc.com and even now Hulu ('bout time Hulu) look phenomenal. At that resolution, I just enlarge the Windows 'overall' font to "Extra large" or "Large" and when surfing the web via Firefox just blow that sh*t up by pressing ctrl,+ until satisfied. Trust me...........it blows up so big that you'll have to reduce down again (and I mean without scroll bars at the bottom)
Trust me and my nigh 10 years of trying and trying to get this perfectly done.
Now I only want to upgrade (sadly enough) my video card because though the HD 4890 is awesome in every sense of the word, it lacks one tiny-assed little thing..............."Lossless audio passthrough". So I can't take advantage of Dolby TrueHD or DTS HD (Lossless) unless I go with an HD 5800 or better series. They also built the HDMI port directly on the card and no need for the dongle that ATI provides (for sound) with the 4890.

If it took you ten years to master this "obsession" then something is totally fked up. I got a 52 in high definition wide screen projection tv back 6 years ago straight from best buy and used it since then. It didn't take me 10 years. It took less than 2 days although I have changed wireless mouses & keyboards through the years. If it takes you ten years to do something then you come to these boards and blast veoh & divx (crap by your words) you are totally off the rocker. Divx is not crap as it was the most successful codec for many years in a row and it is still widely used. I am not sure of its popularity ranking as of now. I read the report about a year ago. Also after veoh was sued, it was not expected them to stay around. The bankruptcy was the after effect or blamed for the lawsuit/used as a tool if they really didn't spend that 80million.

oh yeah you tools fail also by saying hulu is the winner. Hulu is mafiaa.org so if you support hulu you support mafiaa. I get my stuff live pirated content. :-) My money will not support mafiaa.
