Hi all...I want to softmod my wii. I do not have an SD card reader on my pc. I was wondering if I can use my camera to transfer the software to the sd, to input into the Wii? I have been researching for a few days now and I cannot find the answer. Also does the SD card have to be 2 gigs just for the initial software transfer?

I don't think the camera can read anything other than jpg.
Anyway a usb sd card reader costs less than £2
I used a 1GB SD card with success to softmod. (512MB is too small as will not be able to backup the nand)

It depends on the camera. When you plug the camera into the computer you get a window and can drag and drop files on and off the SD, then it should probably work assuming the card is formatted properly.

If you move pictures on and off the camera via some other process then it will likely only handle picture files and will not work.

And the SD card can be any size up to 32 gigs so long as the wii is on firmware 4.0 or later.
